gone
Our sweet beloved pup is at peace now. I am both physically and mentally exhausted. I will post more tomorrow or the next day when I don't feel so raw.
Oooohhhhh, I'm so sorry! You did a beautiful thing, and the puppy knows he was loved while he was here. AND, he was loved by "the internets!" I'm all teary.
I feel for you. Thank you for letting us all become a part of your journey with this puppy. I think you did a good thing, and the pup was very well cared for during its short time on earth.
Sometimes the best you can do is the best you could have done. Your family was a blessing for this pup whose life would have been very different had you not been in it.
I hope you will let one of his brothers comfort and remind you of the precious time you had with "Pup"
words cannot begin to describe how I feel for you and your loss. I was so eager this morning to log on and see how pup was. I'm sure his tail is wagging just thinking about all the love that you gave him and how you gave him more of a chance than anyone.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Please be comforted by knowing that you gave him the best care he could have hoped for in his short time in this world. Your heart is huge. Loving this puppy just made it bigger.
I am so sorry hun. But at least the little one had some love and care in the few days he had. You did a blessing. and it will come back to you in some way. Maybe this is a sign to go and adopt a puppy who really needs you.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
